Can the outer ellipse diameter of CSB-EPB® plastic plain bearings be used normally?

The outer diameter of CSB-EPB® plastic plain bearings is not only large but also oval in the free state. First of all, the larger outer diameter of plastic bearings in the free state is a design requirement for interference press-fitting, which to ensure sufficient pretension between the plastic bearing and the housing bore after assembled, and to avoid the plastic bearing slipping out from the housing bore during working process; Secondly, that the outer diameter of the plastic bearing is oval in a free state is the inherent heat shrinkage phenomenon of plastic injection. After the plastic bearing is pressed into the H7 standard housing bore, the good elastic deformation ability of the plastic material will automatically correct its roundness to reach the design standard of value E10 or F10 or D11 tolerances. All CSB engineering plastic bearings that adopt the interference press-fitting process will be checked the tolerance of the inner hole size after pressing into the H7 standard housing bore by using a go-and-not-go-gauge.

Does the housing bore of PCB plastic clamp bearing require high accuracy?

PCB plastic clamp bearings are made of CSB-EPB3M material which is strong, durable and good in elasticity. This bearing is specially designed for the safety requirements of stamping metal sheet, especially the stamping plate of car seat. There is a diagonal cut joint on the PCB plastic clamp bearings.It is easy to assemble the PCB bearing onto the stamping metal sheet by squashing the bearing a little to pass through the mounting hole of the metal plate, then loose the bearing and the flanges at both ends can be axially limited to prevent falling off.The design of the diagonal cut joint of the PCB bearing and the good elasticity of the bearing material allow a bigger range in the tolerances of the mounting hole. Can CSB-FWB® filament wound bearings be used underwater for a long time?

The selection of most standard materials for CSB-FWB® filament wound bearings is from the perspective of wear resistance design. The bearings adopt the optimized materials on completely dry friction. CRM, CRB and CRG filament wound bearings are made of hydrophobic materials so that even if immersed in water will not affect the size of the bearings. Filament wound bearings can be completely in contact with water. However, apart from CRW filament wound bearings, we do not recommend that using the bearings long-term immersion in water. Because the friction layer material of CRM, CRB and CRG filament wound bearings is designed to have optimal wear resistance under completely dry friction. CRW is a wear-resistant filament wound bearing specially developed for long-term underwater applications. The truth is the wear resistance of CRW filament wound bearings under dry friction is not as good as that in underwater applications.

What is the difference between CSB-LIN® plastic linear bearings and metal ball linear bearings?

CSB-LIN® plastic linear bearings are engineering plastic linear sliding bearings. Is the more expensive the CSB® plastic plain bearings, the better the wear resistance?

Many users have always had this misunderstanding: the more expensive the CSB® plastic plain bearings, the better the performance. In fact, there are dozens of models of CSB® plastic plain bearings materials, most of which are used in special occasions. The most versatile EPB engineering plastic bearings can meet most requirements under normal working conditions with the excellent wear resistance; EPB13 and EPB7 engineering plastic bearings are designed and applied for long-term operation; EPB9 engineering plastic bearings are more expensive than EPB bearings while its wear resistance is not better, because EPB9 bearings are mainly used in anti-static applications; EPB20 engineering plastic bearings are also not cheap and the wear resistance under dry friction is generally good, however, the wear resistance is excellent when running under water at high speed; EPB24 engineering plastic bearings are specifically developed for automotive fuel systems for the high-performance; high temperature resistant EPB5 engineering plastic bearings are already widely used in 250℃ working environments, however, it is obviously not cost-effective at room temperature; Other engineering plastic bearings such as EPB14 and EPB14A are used in light-load and extremely high-speed operations.

How to glue CSB-EPB® plastic plain bearings?

Under standard conditions, we recommend using super-strong glue(such as Loctite 401) to bond CSB-EPB® plastic plain bearings. For plastic plain bearings materials such as EPB13 that are difficult to stick strongly to other parts, the use of two-component adhesives can achieve significantly better results(such as Loctite 406 + Primer 770). For high temperature applications, we recommend using epoxy glue(such as epoxy-based adhesives).

Why is the load capacity of CSB-LIN® plastic linear bearings larger than traditional ball linear bearings? It is easy to find out it is true from the analysis of the structure of CSB-LIN® plastic linear bearing and the traditional ball bearing.
